The cave episode but zutara cuz why not? I do like aang and katara together as well(when they’re older), honestly I’d be content with either ship as canon
i liked the idea of tradition by the way of ‘in the tradition of a specific artist’ and landed on magritte. the most direct inspirations were two of his paintings, 16th September and the Banquet (non animated version will be up later!)
I imagine Katara just came back from a long diplomatic trip and she’s so tired, but they also missed each other too much, so catching up involves mostly snuggles. Mostly. :)
Zuko opened his eyes as soon as he felt her fingers on him. A familiar sense of coolness underneath the warmth of her skin. Even without seeing her face, he would know her. As an enemy, her hands were deadly and unyielding. But as an ally, they were merciful.
He often wondered if their souls were intertwined. How else would one explain this sense of connection? Of always meeting each other in every corner of the world, no matter what mask they wear or disguise they don? He closed his eyes then leaned in.
